Hello Everyone! My name is Jasmeet Singh and I am your TA for this course. I am currently a third year here at UC Irvine. I am a Business Economics and Education double major with a prospective minor in International Studies. My hometown is located in a little beach town named Carlsbad, Ca. I grew up in a loving family with two older brothers and one of them currently attends UC Irvine, as well. I am fortunate enough to say that I grew up in a very supporting family that has been here for me through all of my hardships and successes.
About Me
Something people do not know about me is that I have two baby turtles, named Squirt and Crush, and
a betta fish, named Gatsby, whom live with me here at school. I have had Warrior for a year and two months
now, and I have had my turtles for ten months now. I love my pets dearly and I really enjoy watching them
grow.
In my spare time, I enjoy dancing. Dancing is not just a hobby for me; it’s my passion. I have been
dancing for nine years, with five of those years consisting of a dance team. I have trained in ballet, jazz, hip-
hop, contemporary, and when I came to UCI, I was fortunate enough to expand my knowledge by
becoming captain of a Bollywood fusion dance team.
My experience at UCI so far has been a very rewarding and positive one. Throughout my two years
of attending this university, I have learned so much. One of the main ideas I have learned that I will cherish
forever is the idea of perspective. I strongly believe it is very important to be able to understand how
someone else views different ideas. This idea of perspective has helped me grow as a writer as well,
because it has offered me more than one view on the various subjects that I have worked with.
I am here to help shape and make your experience at UCI unforgettable. Through my decisions and mistakes, I have been able to help others learn and grow and I hope to do the same with all of you.
